Solidarity and Respect
When I was in high school, we went as a class to a camp of
people with few resources to give them a different day and they could leave the
reality in which they live for at least a moment. The camp was on the train line
in Maipu.
We gathered food and went to the camp. We played with the
children, had lunch with them and talked with the adults. Since that day, we
have tried to continue helping the people in need with the teacher Pedro who
knows much more about the situation
Help people in need is an act of generosity and humility
because we do not know if at some moments we could be in a similar situation.
Doing this kind of helps makes you a better person but it also makes you
understand that the life is not simple. Your help can make a change in the
person who receives it.
It is important to help others, as you say, it helps us to get to know other realities and also to make visible situations that are often ignored. I also think it is wonderful that you are continuing to give them your help, because in this way the help and the change is more important.

ResponderEliminarWhen I was little in the garden I was going to, we did something similar, in pairs of children we made a box with food and merchandise for children who needed it and we left them, it was a nice experience.
I like that the school has encouraged many of us to help others. I think it is something very important, and that all schools should do, especially from a young age.
